Co-infection
It is recommended that people with hepatitis C are vaccinated against both hepatitis A and hepatitis B. People living with HIV who contract hepatitis A may experience a longer course of hepatitis A illness. In consultation with a doctor or specialist, having hepatitis A may require short term alterations to a person’s use of HIV medicines.
